Fifteen years ago I released the “CRASH MANDOLINO a.k.a. IL BACO DEL MILLENNIO” compilation tape, and now it's me again, together with some dubious people, releasing another sampler featuring extreme bands from the Italic Peninsula. This is a co-operation among amped new comer youngsters and some old grey-haired asses like me...
We have tried to give as much room as possible to Grindcore, Powerviolence, Ultracore bands but we don't claim to give a complete and exhaustive overview upon the Italian “scene”. A lot of other bands, with similar sounds and whatnot, thrive from the Alps to the Volcano Etna, so do yourself a favour and go support the “made in Italy” D.I.Y.. bands.
The bands herein featured not only share the same passion for such violent sounds, but also mutual friendship, and walk the same common ground of anti-fascism, anti-nazism and anti-homophobia. This record is the result of months of hard work and co-operation among musicians, DIY labels, artists, sound engineers, video makers but, first thing's first, among people.
No need to write it, but no fucking nationalism is behind this platter.
